The deadline for FAFSA (financial aid) is quickly approaching.
Michigan's FAFSA deadline is March 1st. You may hear that the federal deadline is June 30th, but this is because most states and education programs distribute financial aid on a first-come, first-serve basis. To maximize your chances of receiving aid, you should file ASAP.
Completing the FAFSA helps to make college or career school more affordable (through grants, work-study, loans & scholarships). Everyone should complete the FAFSA to offset the cost of post-high-school expenses. Apprenticeships, trade schools, community colleges & universities all have expenses that add up quickly. Don't miss this opportunity to help fund your education.
To help ease this process, reference the link below. You will find tips, video tutorials and links to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Above all, please reach out or stop by my office for assistance.
