Return to Learn Plan has been approved! I wanted to take a minute to review the Return to Learn that will begin on Monday, January 25. All students are invited to attend classes in person all days of the week. You are expected to be physically present on your assigned cohort days. As we bring more students into the building it is imperative that all safety protocols that are currently in place are followed. Masks, hand sanitizer, temperature checks, and hall spacing must be maintained. A strong suggestion is for each of you to bring headphones with you in your backpack every day. This will be even more important on the days you choose to attend and it is not your assigned cohort.

Schedules for second-semester will be available Monday morning. You will most likely be able to view your schedule through PowerSchool over the weekend. If you notice you have a 7th hour on your schedule do not panic, it is a placeholder. We are not adding another class to your regular schedule. More information regarding VIP will be shared next week.

High School Athletic Practices are underway (limited with no contact until Feb. 1st) and the revised winter schedules have been posted on the Website. We are still waiting for spectator attendance policies. We will get the information posted as soon as we know how many spectators will be allowed to attend the events.

GACS is developing a plan to support moving K-12 classroom instruction from the Hybrid Model to a 100% Face to Face Instructional Model. Our target is for mid February, possibly February 15, dependent on School Board approval. To do so, we need your help. As always, we strive to meet the needs of our families to the best of our abilities. Athletic practices for high school basketball and wrestling will resume on Sat. Jan. 16th, so please make sure you watch/listen for updates throughout the week. Also, you MUST have a valid physical on file before you may participate. This MUST include the MHSAA Health Questionnaire if the physical is from last school year.

Family Movie Night Featuring: The Polar Express Thursday, December 17th @ 6:00 PM HS Parking Lot Families are invited to join us for a holiday evening at your "local drive-in theatre". Everyone will remain in their vehicle throughout the event in order to respect social distancing & covid guidelines. (The building will not be open for use.) In the event of inclement weather, our rain date will be Tuesday, December 22..
