Walk to School Event is tomorrow Friday, May 26. Buses will be dropping off students with wristbands at River Oaks Park entrance. Parents can drop off kids starting at 7:15. Parents and family are invited to walk with the students. We will leave for the school by 7:40
G-A Families,
As you may have heard, today there was an incident in which one of our G-A buses was rear-ended by another, while trying to exit our MS parking lot to drive students home at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, a parent vehicle did not yield for the bus, and our driver had to slam on its brakes to avoid hitting the parent vehicle. That caused the bus behind it to run into the rear end of the other bus.
First responders did arrive. All students were removed from the buses and taken into our gym where students could be checked out for any injuries.
Five students were checked for injuries by first responders, but all went home. Only the bus driver of the first bus will seek medical attention.
We appreciate the middle school staff, our drivers, and our local responders for being so quick and efficient in ensuring everyone's safety prior to taking our children home for the day.
This years Field Day will be on Friday, June 2. Parent volunteers are needed. Please return gold sign up sheets if you can volunteer. Thank you

Important Update: Parent Teacher Conferences have been rescheduled to March 16th & 17th. Friday, March 17th, will be a HALF DAY. Sign-ups will be shared by your students' schools by the end of this week.

Tomorrow is our 22nd year of the Kids Heart Event. The students have been practicing several different ways of jumping rope and learing about how exercise benefits our bodies. Please have your students dressed for physical activities. We will be jumping rope, dancing, bowling, playing basketball, golfing, and much more. Please turn in all money using the envelopes that were handed out. Checks should be made to the American Heart Association.

BOYS YOUTH BASKETBALL NIGHT
Tonight is boys youth basketball night at the High School. Please arrive by 6:30. We will have a designated seating area behind the G-A team bench. Please wear your G-A youth basketball shirt and lanyard that was handed out Tuesday at youth basketball practice. If you were not at practice I will have your shirt and lanyard at the school. Entry to the game for all students is FREE. The boys will be introduced at halftime if the boys game and will do some BB drills.

Current status of our Kids Heart fundraiser for the American Heart Association is $4800 with 63 students registered. Our school event is March 3. Let’s see if we can reach 80 registered students and $6000 by this Friday. Need help registering? Please contact Mr. Merasco
