Attention Galesburg-Augusta Families that have been out of power for more than 24 hours: Those who have DHS assistance can contact the local DHS office at 844-464-3447 for Food Replacement. Workers will assist you in filling out a request form that will need to be turned back to DHS. Forms are located at the local office as well. *Food Replacement is only for those who have a food assistance program through DHS* All others can contact 211 for assistance.

Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools will be IN SESSION tomorrow May 19th as planned. Power, Phones, and Internet has been restored thanks to hard working Consumers and Metronet teams.
If your student rides the BROWN bus, please bring them to Harding's parking lot at 7:05am, as the buses cannot pass through the neighborhood behind Harding's/tracks.
We are resilient and will get back to it tomorrow. Please reach out to me if you are in need of any resources due to the storm.
See you all in the morning, Rams!

Attention G-A Student-Athletes and Parents:
I want to invite you (G-A student-athletes currently in grades 6th -11th and parents) to a special opportunity that will take place in the Galesburg-Augusta High School Gym on Wednesday, May 28th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
I am excited to announce that former Central Michigan football star and father to current Detroit Lion’s rookie Antony Tyus III, T.J. Tyus will be presenting his “Mental Performance” blueprint. T.J. is an International Speaker, performance coach, pastor, and published author. He has worked with high school student-athletes and college student-athletes around the world.
Please take a few minutes to check out T.J. and his message at tjtyus.com You will also see some testimonials from some of the biggest names in college sports like Coach PJ Fleck (University of Minnesota) and Dabo Sweeney (Clemson University). This opportunity is being made possible by a generous donation from a G-A community member, so there will be no cost to attend.
I can not express enough how great of an opportunity that is being provided for our student-athletes and parents, especially at no cost. I have seen many of our student-athletes improve their skills through weight lifting, speed/agility, and playing more outside the regular season. However, the mental aspect of athletics is still an area where we need to improve. Please join us for a great night as we take another step to ensure our student-athletes have the tools to be successful in sports, the classroom, and life.
Thank you,
Mike Woodard
Galesburg-Augusta
Athletic Director

A special shoutout to Weston Baker, an 8th grader in Mrs. Kocher’s class, for building a fantastic enclosure to keep our newest classroom residents safe and comfortable. Thank you for your hard work, Weston! 👏
