GUESS WHAT?.....IT'S TIME!
The start of the 2020-2021 school year is upon us! It may not feel like a typical start to the school year; however, the G-AMS staff eagerly anticipates interacting with our students once again! Because the well-being of all is a top priority, we are implementing a few protocols which will allow us to maintain a safe / healthy learning environment for our students and staff. Please take note of the following:
● If you choose to drive your student to school in the morning, drop off time is 8:05 a.m. The building will not be accessible until 8:05 a.m.,and there is no supervision available outside the building before that time.
● If you choose to pick up your student after school, he/she is released at 3:17 p.m. You may meet your student outside, at the front of the building. Please park your vehicle and meet your student on the front sidewalk area. For safety purposes, your student SHOULD NOT walk into the parking lot without his/her family member or family-appointed, adult escort. Staff members will monitor this area and be available should you have questions.
● Masks will be worn by all students and staff members at all times, except when eating lunch / breakfast and when outside for break / recess times. If you have a special needs student or a student with a medical issue that impedes him/her from wearing a mask, please contact the middle school office at (269) 484-2020 for further information.
● We suggest that students have two masks. Though two are not required, it might prove to be refreshing to change masks midway through the day. If your student is using a disposable mask, the health department encourages a “one- use” policy. If your student is using a cloth or home-made mask, the health department encourages these to be washed, daily.
● Please note that “badger or gator” masks, bandannas, or scarves ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FACE COVERINGS for the school building.
As we embark on the new school year, let’s work together to make it a great one!

G-A Families...
We appreciate your patience with the start of the 2020 school year. We understand that the hybrid model, in which students come to school in cohorts: Monday and Tuesday group or Thursday and Friday group, may create daycare challenges for you and your family. We want to let you know of a free opportunity—the G-A Enhancement Center for K-5 students. This will be based on a first come, first serve basis. We have a limited number of spots.

As we work to make certain that all of our G-AMS students have technology available to them, we also want to provide them with a list of resources. Here are websites available for supplemental use only...they are certainly NOT required at this time. We encourage students to explore these sites, have fun, solidify previous learning, and keep their brains active!
